TRITES AND WOOD MUSEUM GIFT SHOP
The museum gift shop features a curated selection of items inspired directly by the museum’ s collection, and life in Fernie. Products include a range of books featuring local and Canadian history, and Fernie & area-inspired items and local artwork including local weaving and textiles from master spinner Gayle Vallance, magnets and ornaments from Wild Wolves Designs, art cards by Melanie MacVoy and paintings and prints by local artist and printmaker, Michael Hepher.

MAIN FLOOR EXHIBIT
This is Our Fernie explores the legends and myths, fires and mining disasters, and stories of commercial, sporting, and community life over the past 125 + years. Engaging displays include a timeline, artifacts, digital kiosks, and discovery items for kids.
PRESERVING AND PROMOTING COMMUNITY HERITAGE
The Fernie Museum holds an extensive collection of artifacts plus digitized and physical documents and images including over 100 years of local newspapers. The photographic database is available at British Columbia Regional Digitized History – bcrdh. ca.
Assistance with local heritage research and historical image searches is available for a small fee.
