Celebrate 35 years of the Arts Station on October 5
The Arts Station offers a packed program of entertainment, exhibits, workshops and presentations throughout the year. See calendars for details of activities, drop-in sessions and gallery shows.
Life Drawing
COMING UP THIS SEASON:
The Arts Station will once again partner with Fernie Craft Fairs for the upcoming season to showcase handcrafted goods from local artisans and craftspeople. October 25, November 29-30, December 20 & March 7.
Monthly events include Life Drawing, an opportunity to study the human form with a nude model. September 25, October 23 & more dates to be announced.
Creative classes and whimsical workshops include sewing on Sep 21, Basket Weaving with Jacki Bruce on Sep 27 & 28, Spooky felting on Sep 28, Crochet Pumpkins with Marissa on Oct 7, Quilted Bow Bags on Oct 21, Paint Night with Rozzy on Oct 24, Nov 14, & Dec 1, and Funki Fungi for ages 7 – 12 on Oct 22 & Woodland Worlds for ages 7 – 12 on November 19. The Pottery Studio is a hub of activity at the station. Activities include Wine & Wheel social evenings on October 17 & November 21, plus other sessions including skill building workshops,
Meet the Wheel introductory sessions, sculpture workshops, multi-day intensives and the More than a Mug Show, opening on November 29.
Discover local art with a new show in the foyer gallery every month. Opening night includes a social event with cash bar and complimentary nibbles, and a chance to meet the artists. Exhibits stay on display through the following month.
