Fernie Craft Fairs bring together local makers, bakers, crafters, artists, artisans and producers to show off and sell a cornucopia of homemade and handcrafted goods. Pick up home-baking, unique décor, handmade jewellery and wearable crafts, art and more. Now in 3 locations in downtown Fernie: The Elks Hall – 491 1st Ave, The Arts Station – 601 1st Ave, and Fernie Seniors Centre – 562 3rd Ave. Fernie Craft Fairs offer a strolling route of locations with plenty of galleries, boutiques and coffee shops to discover in between.

Celebrate the spooky season with ghoulish fun for the whole family. For the littlest monsters, there’ s the Spooky Swim at Fernie Aquatic Centre on October 23rd, the Annual Pumpkin Hunt at Elk Valley Nordic Centre and Sparwood’ s Spookwood both on the 25th, the Griz Kid’ s Halloween Party & Haunted House at Fernie Alpine Resort on the 26th, Spooky Stories and S’ mores in the Fernie Heritage Library Garden on the 29th and a Little Critter Costume Ride on the 31st, weather permitting. At the Arts Station, there’ s Halloween felting on the 28th, and a special screening of the Rocky Horror Picture Show on October 31st. Start working on your costumes – there are great prizes to be won at the annual Halloween parties at The Kodiak Lounge, Fernie Taphouse, and the Pub, and a special Hollywood Horror themed dance party at The Elks Hall. Spook on!
