Fernie is situated along Highway 3 (aka Crowsnest Highway) in the heart of the Canadian Rocky
Mountains in south eastern British Columbia. Fernie is a 3-hour drive west of Calgary Alberta and
the Calgary International Airport, and is just 2 hours west of Waterton National Park and 4 hours
south of Banff National Park. Visitors flying into Calgary International Airport or Vancouver Inter-
national Airport can take daily connector flights to Cranbrook Airport, located 1 hour from Fernie.
Fernie is 30 minutes north of the US border (Roosville Crossing open 24 hours), 1.5 hours from
Whitefish and 2 hours from Glacier National Park, Kalispell, Montana, and Glacier International
Airport. Visitors can also fly into Spokane, Washington, a 5 hour drive from Fernie.
