DAY 5 : The gentler side of snow . Explore Fernie ’ s four distinct areas for Nordic skiing or hit the winter trails on a fat bike . Rent all the equipment you need at sports shops in town or on mountain .
DAY 4 : Explore Fernie ’ s Historic Downtown . 2nd Avenue is lined with century old heritage buildings , unique shops and cafés . Pick up a copy of the Heritage Walk or Art Walk and immerse yourself in Fernie ’ s vibrant culture .
