Summer Suggested Itinerary .
DAY 1 : Welcome to Fernie . Check in to your accommodation and then head out to explore Historic Downtown Fernie with its century old heritage buildings , locally owned shops , cafés , and restaurants .
DAY 2 : Take a hike . Drop by the Fernie Visitor Centre to pick up the latest trail map and chat about recommended hikes and trail conditions . There is plenty to explore , from low-valley familyfriendly trails accessible early in the spring , to more challenging and difficult hikes in the alpine accessible later in summer and early fall .
DAY 4 : Live your best trail life . Hit Fernie ’ s countless trails on a mountain bike either by yourself or with an experienced local guide . Didn ’ t bring your bike or need repairs ? Rent one in town or get the service and gear you need from our local bike shops .
Spend the afternoon immersing yourself in Fernie ’ s arts & heritage . Pick up a self-guided walking tour map and follow the Heritage Walk to discover Fernie ’ s architectural history or the Art Walk to connect with the local community of talented artists and artisans .
DAY 3 : Ride the wave ! White water rafting is the ultimate adrenaline experience . Set out on the river with experienced professional guides , who will guide your raft through stunning canyons with beautiful views and a chance of spotting local wildlife . Lunch is included . Reward yourself afterwards with a Fernie-made specialty beer , spirit or kombucha .

DAY 5 : Before you leave , spend the morning hitting the greens or driving range at one of BC ’ s most scenic golf courses and have lunch on the patio with stunning views of the Rocky Mountains .
