For a gentler tour , community trails offer scenic nature walks and riverside running routes dotted with shaded parks , picnic spots and picture-perfect viewpoints . The Fernie Valley Pathway links the Visitor Information Centre and Maiden Lake through Annex Park to the Mount Fernie Provincial Park with 5.3km of paved , inclusive trails suitable for all users . Easy Beaver – The Adaptive Trail , located in the Montane area , is a gentle grade route for walking and biking and is suitable for strollers and wheelchairs with sturdy tyres .
