Colourful banners by local artists line streets in historic downtown Fernie and along Hwy # 3 each year . New banners have been produced and updated annually since 2005 .
OUT OF THE BOX DUMPSTERS Fernie ’ s dumpsters have been works of art since 2014 . See P31 for details of this year ’ s Out of the Box Dumpster Painting Event at Station Square .

Around Fernie there ’ s even more to discover including guerilla art by Aiden Lindsay , Liam Monaghan and Milarkey in the laneway between 1st & 2nd Avenue , an entire house hand-painted by Troy Cook behind the Raging Elk Hostel , a variety of artisan glass windows in several historical buildings and pop-up art displays and shows held all over town .
