Wapiti Music Festival returns this year to celebrate 10 years of amazing Canadian Indie sound and the Fernie Arts Station has a great selection of outdoor activities including a whole week of artistic dumpster painting at the end of August . The Sparwood Museum invites you to join them every Friday afternoon until
7pm in the summer for Culture On The Lawn , featuring activities , markets and live music .
The Elk River is a haven on a hot day for floating , fishing , strolling and wildlife viewing . Please note that portions of the riverside trails in Annex Park in Fernie may be inaccessible this summer due to essential flood prevention work .
