WAPITI MUSIC FESTIVAL
AUGUST 5-6 , 2022 JAMES WHITE PARK WAPITIMUSICFESTIVAL . COM
It ’ s been a long time coming , but we are finally set to celebrate Wapiti ’ s 10th birthday ! This year ’ s event will take place in James White Park so expect a few changes to the layout , with all the familyfriendly fun , excitement , and great eats and merch you know and expect , and of course – the very best in fresh , Canadian Indie . 2022 ’ s headline act is The Sheepdogs , who rocketed to fame after gracing the cover of Rolling Stone magazine back in 2011 and subsequently had to cancel a planned Wapiti appearance that year . Now they ’ re here to make good on their commitment and have some great new pandemic-fuelled tunes to share .
This year ’ s lineup is a true celebration of everything there is to love about Wapiti with old favourites and new classics packing the lineup . Local talent Shred Kelly , Mount Rushka , and DJ Cona take over the stage on Friday along with Ontario ’ s My Son The Hurricane . Joining the Sheepdogs on Saturday are The Harpoonist and the Axe Murderer , The Free Label , Zaki Ibrahim , John Welsh and Los Valientes , Leather Apron Revival , and The Steadies , with DJ Cona returning for dance breaks . Get ready to stomp !
