Overall Winner Fenestration Australia design award of the year G.James Glass & Aluminium Campbells Pocket, Mt Mee, QLD In 2015, for the first time, the most outstanding entry from all categories was awarded the Fenestration Australia Design Award of the Year. Perched atop a picturesque part of Campbells Pocket located approximately 70 kilometres north of Brisbane, this residential masterpiece captures spectacular panoramic views of the Glasshouse Mountains and Caloundra in the north, and Moreton Bay in the south. At night, the lights of the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane City illuminate the outline of the surrounding ridge line. It is little wonder the client’s brief to the designer and builder stipulated three key criteria: 1. The view is paramount and is to be the number one consideration 2. The finished home is to be visually appealing from both the inside and outside and, 3. There is to be as much uninterrupted glass as possible. JUDGES’ COMMENTS A truly stunning use of windows and doors that provides maximum access to the panoramic views from this magnificent country house.
