Overall Winner
Fenestration
Australia design
award of the year
G.James Glass &
Aluminium
Campbells Pocket, Mt Mee, QLD
In 2015, for the first time, the most
outstanding entry from all categories
was awarded the Fenestration
Australia Design Award of the Year.
Perched atop a picturesque part of Campbells Pocket
located approximately 70 kilometres north of Brisbane,
this residential masterpiece captures spectacular
panoramic views of the Glasshouse Mountains and
Caloundra in the north, and Moreton Bay in the south.
At night, the lights of the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane
City illuminate the outline of the surrounding ridge line.
It is little wonder the client’s brief to the designer and
builder stipulated three key criteria:
1. The view is paramount and is to be the number one
consideration
2. The finished home is to be visually appealing from
both the inside and outside and,
3. There is to be as much uninterrupted glass as
possible.
