You'll have to expect a lot of responsibility placed on your shoulders. The role will be mainly office based however, based on the geographical spread of the organistation you work for you may have to travel regularly to meet with all the individuals who contribute to the product. The dress code will also depend on the organisation you work for but formal business wear is required. Companies tend to only hire a few, typically one product manager so it can be competition to get the role.
The typical salary for an experienced product manager is between 35,000 and £60,000. Salary can be dependent upon the size of the product that you're responsible for as well as the size of your employer. This role usually comes with bonus schemes.
Working hours are typically 9-5pm and almost always located in the head office of the organistation you work for. You possibly will be required to work outside of these times if your company has offices in other time zones.
