Identification of the citrate exporter Cex1 of Yarrowia lipolytica
This article reports on the identification of the first citrate exporter in Yarrowia lipolytica by transcriptomic analyses , termed Cex1 . This represents a starting point for further investigations of the complex transport processes in yeasts .

Redox stratification within cryoconite granules influences the nitrogen cycle on glaciers
In this article , Segawa et al . demonstrate that redox stratification affects the spatial distribution of N cycling processes in cryoconite granules . Their results suggest that the development of a granular structure of cryoconite granules can largely affect carbon and nitrogen cycling on glaciers .
