On my journey to find what works best to balance my body and my life while living with polycystic ovarian syndrome and endometriosis ( hormonal disorders affecting 10 % of women in the US ), I have been experimenting with incorporating vegan , raw , paleo and gluten free recipes into my everyday life . I was not interested in a quick diet or magical detox to help me find this balance .
Don ’ t get me wrong , I am not anti diets or detoxes , I believe it is a good idea to shake things up a bit ... why be boring right . However , my initial start was to help my body get what it needed in order to assist in my naturally calming the sometimes savage side effects that come with these common disorders . Tame the beasts if you will . I invite you to come along this journey with me and to share recipes

Summer is upon us in “ the states ” and with it comes some additional fresh fruit and vegetable choices . The sky is pretty much the limit on healthy and tasty food additions .
The warmer months bring warm memories of doing creative things and trying new foods with my mother during summer break . I am forever grateful that she did not try to mask vegetables , force nor bribe us into eating healthy foods . I have spoken with so many people who have absorbed the lesson
