sweat is made up of 95% of water, it can result in dehy-
dration if you are not drinking enough to compensate
for this loss. On a warm day, or during exercise, it is
important to increase your water intake to make up for
this water loss!
THINGS TO REMEMBER
• Incorporate water rich food to your daily snack-
ing, such as strawberries or baby carrots
• Find ways of increasing your daily water intake –
whether that’s adding slices of lemon or opting for
sugar-free cordial
• Remember to listen to your body when you begin
feeling thirsty and act upon it
• Try your best to reduce alcohol, caffeine, sugar
and salt in your diet
• If you are working out, or it is a warm day, make
sure you are drinking more water to keep hydrat-
ed
