Meet the incomparable Liyah, the eldest of the Rocke sisters. This starlet has a natural gift for the arts, dancing as well as music. She's also about to begin a new chapter in life by starting Secondary school. Great things are over the horizon for this loving caring young lady.
1) When is Independence Day celebrated in Trinidad and Tobago?
Independence Day is celebrated on August 31st .
2) What dose being an independent country mean to you?
It means a lot to me because as a country we now have our own National Flag, National Anthem, money, our Coat of Arms and so many things that are important to the people of Trinidad and Tobago.
3) How do you celebrate Independence Day?
I celebrate Independence Day by lighting fireworks with the family in the front yard of our home and look at the Independence Day Parade on the television.
4) What do you love about your country?
I love the culture of my country, how every creed and race have an equal place. Our culture is full of so many different things that make us unique to the Caribbean. Emancipation, the first people celebration, Divali, Hosey , and Carnival are just a few.
