The Club History

3

Tim is busy writing a new history of the club with particular reference to the last 55 years.

If anyone has any old photographs they can let him copy it would be helpful.

This photo was sent to him by Robin King. It shows the old scorebox in 1939 at the outbreak of war.

If you look arefully there was barbed wire on the boundary fence!

The cinder track around the ground was still there when Tim was a small boiy in the 1960s. Numerous adventurous chilkdren came off their bicycles and trikes at speed and had a painful time as their mums picked cinders oput of the cuts afterwards!

The other side of the ground in the early 60s had a huge nettle patch which seemed to attract youngsters too !

If you have any tales from eartlier times at FEETHAMS OR CAN HELP WITH THE HISTORY, PLEASE GET IN TOUCH.

Tim's email address is [email protected]

The last time our 1st XI won the championship was 1990. The champions are seen above.

we cam close in 2012 but lost out on the last weekend to Richmondshire.

Can we do it in 2013?

The new look software for our latest series of magazines allows us to use videos for your enjoyment.

In order to test it out we have included a video clip taken on a Dobson family holiday in France a few years ago.

The now 1st team vice captain assaults his dad!

If you have any good clips on you tube tall us about them and we will try to include them.

Hopefully in 2013 we will get some videos of our cricketers in action.
