Feeling the Sunsh
An EHS Student Speci
Blossom by Kerry Donohue
Inside my petals I am trapped
And with cool winds I am wrapped
I hide within myself
As I can’t see the colors
The beauty has to outweigh the long
months of blindness
The absence of the sun
The absence of the green grass
The absence of the shimmering stars
The loss of the children
And their sparkling eyes when they spot a
glimpse of me
The silence is so loud
When you remember how the sun sings
That’s the medicine to help me grow…
The remembrance of the storytelling sky
A memory of the waterflowing river
The daylight that warms my soul
And the pollinating of the bees
What is that I feel
The warming sensation of a hug
