Feeling The Sunshine | Page 28

Sunshine Therapy by Rebecca Wentworth Feeling the Sunsh An EHS Student Speci I peer through the window And watch the sun claim its throne Dismissing the tired moon From its night shift. I wander outside And I’m greeted by the sun’s rays They extend their arms Enveloping me in a warm hug. I raise my head toward the Heavens Sneaking quick peeks at the blazing sphere The sun kisses my cheeks Leaving behind an array of freckles. Stepping onto my driveway The sizzling pavement caresses my feet Sending tingles of warmth through my body. This is the feeling that I long for. After a day of basking in the sun’s glory I bid it a farewell As I watch it dance among the treetops And return to its slumber Until tomorrow.
