Feeling the Sunshine, Spring 2020
An EHS Student Special Feature Publication
A poem by Taleah Jackson
I recline in my chair and breathe in the fresh air.
After days of rain and frost overnight,
I can’t get enough of the sun so bright.
I run back inside to figure out what to wear,
I dig out my sunglasses out to protect me from the glare.
I’m so excited spring is finally here,
Especially what we’ve been going through this year.
For weeks we’ve been told to stay inside,
Because of this virus that’s spreading worldwide.
The governor said we don’t have to hide,
And gives us a list of rules to abide.
Some people defied, some people denied,
But I’ll do whatever it takes to get back outside.
A poem by Aidan Sperrazza
The sun is out and the grass is green,
It’s early spring and I can feel it,
It’s warm under the sun and there are no clouds,
Bees are flying, Flowers are blooming, Soccer season is
BOOMING, Sun is here, swimming is near, and spring has come out into the clear,
Goodbye April showers, now we have sunshine for hours, welcome spring...
