Feeling the Sunshine, Spring 2020
An EHS Student Special Feature Publication
A poem by Caleb Martinek
Covid-19 took away my sports
They even took down nets at basketball courts.
There has been nothing to do for 2 months
All I want is to see friends and have some fun.
I decided I wouldn’t let Covid phase me
Playing sports is my life, so I wouldn’t stop because of quarantine.
I’ve taken advantage of the situation
And I’ve even gained some new motivation.
I go outside everyday
Mostly because my little brother wants to play.
I’ve been working out on the daily
Because like I said, COVID-19 won’t phase me.
A new beginning
by Katherine LeBlanc
It is a new beginning
A new era, a new start
A new state of mind
It is spring
The beginning of an end
The end of a beginning, alas!
It is spring!
She waits for the end,
As she cherishes the beginning.
At once
Waiting till next year
Again, again, again
A new beginning.
