Ash Wednesday

Ash Wednesday is a Catholic holy day of pace that it falls on the first day of Lent,six weeks of respentance before Easter. This year Ash Wednesday was in February 14, and every year could be a different day deepending on the moveable feast based on the cycles of the moon.

Ash Wednesday emphasizes two themes: our sinfulness before God and our human mortality. The services focuses on both themes, helping us to realize that both have been triumphant through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

As a Catholic School is a celrebration that we need to follow, so as every year,students were recievieng the imposition of the ashes so everyone be prepared for live the Paschal Mystery, that is the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Jesus.
