Wood River Health Opens New Dental Suite
Wood River Health on Block Island hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to present its new dental suite to community members . Funded through a grant from UnitedHealthcare Dental , the brand-new clinic features state-of-the-art dental equipment and treatment rooms . Since opening to the public , the clinic has provided care to around ninety patients , ages two to ninety-six , and aims to continue to support the health of the Rhode Island community .
“ As part of our mission to help people lead healthier lives , we are committed to expanding access to quality oral care across the country ,” says Mike Mueller , vice president of Medicaid Dental Services at UnitedHealthcare . “ We are honored to collaborate with Wood River Health to make dental care more accessible on Block Island to drive better health and outcomes in the community .”
