This class will teach the basics of measurement and blueprint reading , essential skills for maintenance professionals . Students will learn how to properly read a tape measure , including tips and tricks to simplify measurements , as well as the symbols and extra features on a tape measure . We ’ ll cover how to use a scale ruler for blueprint reading , understand common blueprint symbols , and apply this knowledge on the job . The course will also introduce various squares and levels , with practical tips for cutting , leveling , and aligning accurately .

Water Heater Repair Fundamentals

Water heaters store and heat water for an apartment building . There are two main types of water heaters : gas and electric . Both are basically the same except that gas water heaters have a gas burner at the bottom and a flue vent at the top , and electric water heaters have electric heating elements inside the tank .

This seminar will cover the fundamentals of each system and common water heater problems and solutions .
