 For the past 41 years , the Metro Denver Vacancy and Rent Survey has been a key resource in the Denver multifamily market , and was conducted by Gordon Von Stroh and Jennifer Von Stroh - in partnership with the University of Denver and a wonderful pool of participants .
 With the Von Stroh family retiring from this project , the Metro Denver Vacancy & Rent Survey is beginning a new chapter ! Cary Bruteig with Apartment Insights has been studying the market for nearly twenty years through a similar scope , and has stepped up to continue producing a new and improved report
 Some things to consider about the new report and format :
 • To provide a good baseline on the market , the past 9 quarters have been recalculated utilizing the Apartment Insights data . The numbers are slightly different but the trends remain the same .
 • The report has been redesigned with new graphs on the same page as the data , and has been overall consolidated to be more consumable .
 • The markets covered are by county , as was the previous reports . We plan on incorporating submarkets into future reports .
