On November 17th , Rhode Island Monthly , in conjunction with the Rhode Island Foundation , celebrated the winners of the inaugural Christiana Carteaux Bannister Awards with a cocktail reception at the Rhode Island Monthly office . Winners and guests enjoyed drinks and hors d ’ oeuvres by Just Ellen ’ s Catering , music from East Side Music and an awards presentation by Rhode Island Monthly senior editor Casey Nilsson , with special remarks from Lt . Governor Sabina Matos . The presenting sponsor of this year ’ s awards program was Citizens Bank .
