What ’ s Happening From Heidi …
Good Morning …. February ?!?!
Where did January even go ?? We have been very busy here at the Chamber since , I think , last July , right ? We are moving forward until someone tells us that we need to stop . The Chamber team of Holly , Wendy , and Erica have been very active in the planning and executing of successful events that have already occurred . We look forward to hosting many more events this coming year .
January ’ s Annual Meeting was enjoyed by many in attendance . Good food , good music , and good drink . Sparta Quest Winter Fest ’ s inaugural opening had its hiccups and we as a team have learned a lot on how to move forward and what it is going to look like . The people that came together to help us make this happen-we are truly grateful for your helping hands .
Let ’ s start with February ’ s Cabin Fever which will definitely be different this year . For those that are virtual , you may stop into the Chamber office from February 15-19 , leading up to the event to drop your tickets into the game buckets . There will be an in-person event on Saturday , February , 20 at the American Legion . Space WILL BE limited for the in-person portion , so be sure to grab your tickets as soon as you can .
We have plans to slow down in March and April only to gear up again for May with the Tunnel Opening and the first ever Bike Expo happening Saturday , May 1 st . All of the repairs from this last fall and winter should be done and the trail will officially be fully open . We are the bicycling capital of America , right ? Planning is underway for this momentous occasion that you don ’ t want to miss . More details to come as they are confirmed .
Also new to May is MiMS . Music in Mueller Square and that will be on a Friday night in the Square with a smaller sized band performing . We are looking for food and drink vendors to have in the huts during this time , so if you are interested , be sure to let us know . Planning for these events has already started and they are shaping up pretty nicely .
The Full Moon bike rides return along with the Concert in the Park series in May . There is a lot on the docket for Sparta . We are truly excited for this next chapter that is 2021 .
