After a long winter of hibernation , there is no greater feeling of excitement than being at the first round of the NYOA harescramble series . Taking place at the Newfield , NY Dream Riders track , typical springtime conditions make for some “ sloppery ” mud filled fun on a ≈9-mile course that weaves up and down in elevation . There are quite a few opportunities to exercise your machine with some wide-open ripper sections but be prepared
to slow up for the and tighter and technical woods found throughout . A couple grass track sections break up the woods , however , use caution as they are SLICK WHEN WET ! The track flows beautifully and has enough challenge for the more experienced riders to buckle down , but not too difficult to end a new rider ’ s day which gives a good mix being the first race of the NYOA championship series .
