STARTING A SUBSCRIPTION BOX SERVICE
The Fabulous Planner Box was created in May 2019 after talking to several customers and hearing the same complaints over and over . They got easily overwhelmed every time they wanted to shop for planner supplies . Nowadays , there are so many shops and styles on Etsy and Instagram it makes it difficult for anyone to actually make a choice . The reason I created the box was to help these customers by delivering a different theme and selection of planner supplies each month so they could focus on planning and crushing their goals instead of spending hours just browsing .
The research took me about 6 months , since there are SO MANY things to learn and you need to make sure you ’ re pricing the boxes correctly , otherwise the profit would be minimal . There are many costs that you don ’ t see in the beginning but they add up pretty easily , like tissue paper , crinkle paper , stickers , and labels . You have to include everything in your cost . I started by planning the first 6 months of boxes , curating all the items , and choosing the manufacturers so nothing would go wrong with the first batch . Now I plan 3 months at a time .
