FAIR UPDATE
This time around, however, the Fair Sub-
Committee has brought in a number of
relaxations in the Decoration norms. While
carpentry work and the usage of inflammable
materials are disallowed, Exhibitors are permitted
to use flex posters for the walls of their Stalls,
and can also carry pre-assembled props such
as stacks, racks, stands, mannequins, LCD
monitors, etc. Soft music, too, will be permitted,
provided it does not cause disturbance to
fellow Exhibitors.
Thereafter, the Chairman commenced the
Allotment of Stalls for the Menswear segment.
He started in the descending order of Stall sizes,
from 48 square metres.
As the Draw of Lots for the Menswear segment
ended, a short break was announced, wherein
ample refreshments were served.
Post the break, the Drawing of Lots for the
Womenswear segment began—it was conducted
in the descending order, from 48 square metres.
The same procedure was followed during the
Allotment for the Kids’-wear segment.
The event was indeed planned and executed
efficiently, and made for the perfect precursor to
the 70th NGF.
In summary, the Draw of Lots function for
the 70th National Garment Fair panned out
successfully, gearing participants up for the
big event.
