Preserving the Family with Estate Planning

Program Description

Getting Started with Estate Planning: Estate Planning can be an intimidating process to begin regardless of how much you know. This session will cover how to get started, basic terms and to do's of estate planning. It will also describe the difference between will, living trust and living will.

Estate Planning Basics: Participants will learn about estate planning as it relates to planning for death or incapacitation, protection of assets, when probate may or may not be necessary and distribution of property.

Farm and Small Business Succession: This program will review issues surrounding Succession Planning of Farm and Small Businesses. Economic, Financial and personality compatibility issues will be highlighted. Legal entity structure will be reviewed for the use in Succession Planning.
