“ One thing I learn from the streets is how to fight ”. Completing her high school was the first priority , so she opted to take the G . E . D test . It was a struggle out of the 5 part test Lynn only completed 4 , she failed the math . The fight arose inside of her and she managed to finish the math part after the third try .
After completing her G . E . D she explored a new course of action by enrolling into the Graphic Arts program at a near by Parish community college , to enhance her already exiting skills to draw and paint . By the summer Lynn saw a need in her community for hair care targeting little girls . Giving back triggered a new love for hair care . The next step was to enroll in the technical college , cosmetology program with her sight set on becoming a hairstylist .
One fine day Lynn was approached by a local fashion designer Kris James , and eventually she strutted her five foot nine frame in several shows . Not only as a model but as the hairstylist and the makeup artist . Her first show was KRIS JAMES Glamoroma and bantu knots by Lynn . Another show was a street style fashion show where her and make up was Lynn , the most couture collection by KRIS JAMES was called KRIS WHO ? hair and make up by Lynn and the most fascinating show was a hair show competition sponsored by a local hairstylist it featured imported West African textiles and to it top off with a Nigerian choreographed dance . She clearly found her niche !
Lynn loves and appreciates her new life style , glam style , and styling appeal endeavors so much that she was inspired to develop a beauty concept Doux Brownee . Doux Brownee was created as a motivational tools . Such as ; ‘ quotes of the day ’,
