NO LIMITS
Peace,
Wholeness, Being
Still . . . life’s
great treasures.
For a long time I
lost the sense of
how awesome I
was -- my identity, my sense of self. I
didn’t realize I had everything I
needed, so I was always looking for
external approval. The vibrant,
ambitious me I once was had been
buried by life circumstances and
other people’s opinions. So, though I
still had a smile, I was a silent sufferer;
I had become a shell of myself.
In 2011, I went through a
‘circumcision’ of sorts. It was a
period of time where I had to put
down my non-productive busyness
and really just be quiet so I could
understand the seemingly radical,
uncomfortable changes that had
invaded that season of my life.
Deliberately taking that time with
pen and notepad in hand in my
quiet time, afforded me the
opportunity to get back to the real
me; it was a time of tremendous
healing. Once I came through that
time period, I was elated to
rediscover me!
When we know how awesome we
are, we can decide what we will
and won’t accept; and who or what
we will allow in our space. We won’t
allow people to define us for their
own purposes. Oh to live life in full
color! What freedom!
Living a Limitless Life. Last year I
recounted a story I heard years ago
about piranhas and little fish that
were placed in the same container
with a divider separating the piranha
from the tiny fish. 30 days later, the
divider was removed, but the fish still
would only go to the part of the
container where the divider used to
be even though they now had
access to the full container.
Recently, I personally experienced
that limits are often perception. I am
finding when I look closer at
perceived limits and take on a
paradigm shift, there are actually no
limits there – how awesome is that!
February is International Boost Self
Esteem month. We invite you to
discover (or rediscover) the real you,
be awesome, expand your
boundaries, and live life in full color.
