Holland & Knight has strengthened its national Public Finance Team with the addition of senior counsel Denise Ganz in West Palm Beach and of counsel Jeannette Bond in New York . Both attorneys previously practiced at Greenspoon Marder . Ms . Ganz has nearly 40 years of experience in public finance . In addition to representing counties , cities , school districts , community development districts , water management districts , and other special districts as bond counsel and disclosure counsel , Ms . Ganz has represented major investment banking firms as underwriter ' s counsel . She also has regularly served as borrower ' s counsel for not-for-profit corporations and developer ' s counsel to various real estate developers in a variety of taxexempt financings . Ms . Ganz received a J . D . degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and a B . S . degree from the University of Florida . For more than 40 years , Ms . Bond has practiced in the public finance area , concentrating on the federal tax aspects of tax-exempt bonds . Ms . Bond has served as special tax counsel for bonds of state and local governments and authorities , including advance refunding issues of the state of New Jersey . She has extensive experience advising on numerous IRS audits of bond transactions and has helped clients obtain private letter rulings from the IRS . In addition , Ms . Bond assists issuers and conduit borrowers in developing and implementing post-issuance tax compliance procedures relating to their bond issues . Ms . Bond received a J . D . degree from Rutgers Law School , an LL . M . degree from New York University School of Law and a B . A . degree from Rutgers University . As part of Holland & Knight ' s Financial Services Group , the Public Finance Team is currently staffed with more than 20 attorneys around the country , as well as a senior policy advisor , who collectively devote all or a portion of their practice to public finance , including in-house tax counsel .
