Year in review

It is with great pride and gratitude that I reflect on the remarkable achievements of the Central Securities Depository of Iran (CSDI) over the past year. These milestones not only underscore our commitment to innovation and excellence but also reinforce our role as a key player in the regional and global financial ecosystem.

In 2024, CSDI achieved invaluable recognition at the global level. We were honored to be appointed as the leader of the FEAS "CSDs, Pre- and Post-Trade Working Group", elected to the ACG Executive Committee for the third consecutive term, and elected as Vice-Chair of the Asia-Pacific CSD Group and Representative to the World Forum of CSDs Board. These roles enable us to contribute to shaping global standards and best practices, highlighting our sustained leadership in fostering regional and global collaboration.

On the domestic front, we reached significant milestones, including the listing of CSDI’s symbol on Iran Fara Bourse's Negotiated Market, which enhances our visibility and accessibility to investors. At the KishINVEX 2024 International Exhibition, we unveiled two transformative services: the new version of the Integrated Brokers Portal "KARA II" and the upgraded “Miraas” system, which expands the electronic transfer of deceased shareholders' assets to their legal heirs from Justice Shares to all financial asset classes. Both services are designed to streamline processes and improve user experience.

Operationally, we completed the relocation to our new headquarters and developed a state-of-the-art data center, significantly enhancing our technological capabilities. We also implemented the mechanized processing of put-option contracts, expanded the Energy Exchange’s physical market settlement system, and strengthened the Settlement Guarantee Fund for reducing default risks. Additionally, the development of the Tasviyeh Yara (Settlement Facilitator) System has increased the number of settlement banks, further improving efficiency and managing risks.

These achievements reflect our unwavering commitment to innovation, transparency, and collaboration. As we look ahead, we remain dedicated to driving progress and delivering value to our stakeholders.
