Year in review
Taking over as CEO of the Central Depository of Armenia in October 2024, I am honored to lead the institution during a pivotal time of transformation and growth. Transitioning from my previous role as a Management Board member and Legal Counsel at AMX Group, I bring a deep understanding of market development and regulatory frameworks. I am committed to leveraging this experience to drive CDA’s continued innovation and long-term success.
2024 was a year of remarkable advancements and strategic partnerships that have strengthened our market infrastructure and created new opportunities. One of the significant accomplishments was the launch of a new electronic system for data exchange in partnership with the Chamber of Notaries of Armenia. This system has streamlined the process for notaries to access securities and pension fund asset information related to inheritance cases, enhancing efficiency and transparency.
Another key milestone was expanding CDA’s global reach. Through a strategic partnership with the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), we have taken steps to integrate Armenia’s financial markets with the Middle East. Additionally, the Kazakhstan Central Securities Depository (KCSD) opened a nominee account at CDA, creating a two-sided connection that makes it easier for both Armenian and Kazakh investors to operate in each other’s securities markets.
As we move into 2025, our focus remains on innovation, international integration, and expanding our service offerings. The foundations laid in 2023 and the milestones achieved in 2024 position us for continued growth and success.
With a renewed leadership perspective, I am committed to strengthening the depository’s technological capabilities, enhancing regulatory frameworks, and fostering deeper collaborations both locally and internationally.
