The total volume of trading in all segments of the exchange-traded market in 2024 increased by more than 25% compared to 2023 and amounted to USD 26.2 billion (USD 20.9 billion in 2023). The volume of exchange-traded securities purchase and sale and repurchase transactions in 2024 increased by more than 30% to USD 7.3 billion compared to 2023 (USD 5.6 billion in 2023).
Last year, BCSE paid special attention to projects aimed at further increasing the liquidity of the main segments of the exchange-traded market and post-trade services.
Significant events in 2024 include expanding the range of traded instruments on the securities market; enabling organized market participants to make transactions in shares in the “double auction” mode with SCCP-T0 settlement code with non-standard lots; expanding the list of transactions conducted in the simple auction mode by providing, among other things, the possibility of selling pledged shares and reducing the requirements for the minimum volume of securities offered at the simple auction.
