In 2023, the Central Depository of Armenia (CDA) achieved notable success through the implementation of various projects and the strengthening of collaborative partnerships.
Throughout the year, CDA demonstrated its commitment to technological excellence by enhancing the CDAOnline mobile application. A comprehensive update has focused on optimizing user interface and experience. The upgraded version introduced new depository features, reflecting CDA's dedication to providing innovative and user-friendly financial services.
A significant milestone in 2023 was the successful adaptation of new Anti-Money Laundering (AML) standards. Recognizing the importance of regulatory compliance, CDA established a dedicated team responsible for overseeing and regulating AML operations. The newly adopted AML standards align seamlessly with international standards, underlining CDA's commitment to maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity.
The year marked a period of strategic collaborations for CDA, as we established new partnerships with key players in the financial industry. These collaborations not only strengthened existing relationships but also opened avenues for synergies that contribute to the growth and resilience of the financial
ecosystem.
CDA actively participated in crucial conferences and events, showcasing its commitment to staying at the forefront of industry discussions. Notably, the ConFEAS 2023 International Conference in Yerevan, Armenia, provided a platform for CDA to engage with approximately 200 participants from Exchanges, Central Securities Depositories (CSDs), Banks, Regulatory Bodies, Investment Companies, and International Financial Institutions (IFIs). The discussions covered the latest trends, issues, and opportunities in modern capital markets.
Additionally, the World Forum of Central Securities Depositories, held in Prague, focused on various topics such as central depositories' involvement in sustainability and supporting emerging economies while building robust capital markets.
2023 stands as evidence of the Central Depository of Armenia's achievements, marked by technological advancements, regulatory excellence, strategic collaborations, and active participation in global forums. These endeavors collectively reinforce CDA's position as a key player in the evolving landscape of financial services.
