After the lifting of the nuclear sanctions (2016), Iran's economy laid in growth path. Oil exports increased. Foreign investors started returning to Iran. The exchange rate fluctuations declined and the inflation rate fell sharply. In sum, Iran's economy experienced a positive growth. With regard to the investment growth (domestic and foreign), the increase in foreign trade and the improvement of Iran's political relations with the rest of the world, we expect that the future outlook of the country to be improved. Even some international entities (such as the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund) have approved the proper outlook of Iran's economy.

Undoubtedly, the existence of a high quality human capital, sufficient foreign investment and the access to cheap energy sources will make Iran as one of the most powerful countries in the region.

Iran's economy laid in growth path. The exchange rate fluctuations declined and the inflation rate fell sharply.

Implementing information technology-based solutions can be one of the most important events in the financial markets recently, as the new development and advancements have added more attraction to them. Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) has had a new outlook in order to reach its modified strategic goals.

2022 is the starting point for TSE to apply such solutions in its operations with a serious concentration on four basic areas:

1.Digital Transformation; as the most prominent development plan at TSE in the coming years in order to step away some older traditional procedures and more closer to a digitally developed enterprise.

2.Capital market development by means of new instruments and solutions; TSE market deepens in the recent years by introduction of futures and option contracts. The features were challenged and faced with some headwinds due to infrastructure, business and lack of enough knowledge considerations. Some improvements including increasing liquidity through market making, market restructuring and market/broker risk management brought more dynamism to the sector.

3.Using available potentials in the local knowledge-based and startup ecosystem; this section has experienced some huge

growth in Iran lately. TSE moved swiftly in 2022 to provide more attention, as well as resources to the participants in order to mutually benefit the cooperation between startups and the capital market.

4.New Organizational Structure, intelligent and process-based; all sectors and businesses give noticeable credit and importance to data and information, as the entity’s assets include its data. TSE applies its available data and business intelligence in order to raise its internal efficiency. Some of TSE’s data-related solutions in 2022 include restructuring Organizational Systems, improving corporate process-oriented regime and re-evaluating personnel performance management.
