Over the past year, UZEX took necessary measures to ensure the transparency of local commodity market, free pricing and the development of competition.
Today, the Uzbek Commodity Exchange occupies a significant share of the wholesale commodity market of Uzbekistan and plays an essential role in the national economy growth.
The annual volume of transactions of UZEX exceeds 13 billion US dollars, which corresponds to about 15% of Uzbekistan's GDP.
More than 10,000 transactions concluded daily on the exchange, and more than 8,000 counterparties participate in e-auctions. Meanwhile, the total number of customers of the exchange exceeds 500 thousand bidders.
UZEX structure includes 14 branches in all regional centers of Uzbekistan, more than 400 trading pits located in each district of the republic and about 40 overseas trading offices operating in various countries of the world.
Over 1,700 brokerage houses and more than 3,700 traders operate at these branches and foreign trading pits.
UZEX operations also complies with the requirements of the international standard ISO 9001:2015 “Quality Management System” and ISO 37001: 2016 "Anti-corruption management system".
«Fitch Ratings» has affirmed the Uzbek Commodity Exchange at "B" with stable outlook.
At the same time, "ERNST & YOUNG" representing the world largest audit companies The "Big Four" was involved in the audit of the financial statements of UZEX.
According to the results of the contest held by the National Association of Investment Institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan, "Uzbek Commodity Exchange" JSC won in the nomination "Best Corporate Governance" in 2022.
A professional team is constantly working on implementing new exchange trading tools and improving a single ecosystem of the exchange that consists of a settlement and clearing system and the following trading platforms.
• E-system of exchange trading (spot.uzex.uz).
• Public e-procurement trading system (xarid.uzex.uz).
• B2B trading (yarmarka.uzex.uz).
• E-auctions for vehicle license plates (avtoraqam.uzex.uz)
• E-auctions for phone numbers (mobilraqam.uzex.uz).
• Trading portal for e-logistics (e-logistika.uzex.uz).
Today, the Uzbek Commodity Exchange is at the stage of digital transformation.
The Development Strategy of the Uzbek Commodity Exchange designed with the involvement of foreign experts and consulting firms and includes such important tasks as modernizing the IT infrastructure and trading platforms, expanding of services provided, increasing the volume of foreign trade operations, as well as the implementation of new exchange trading tools, including commodity derivatives.
In order to achieve these goals, UZEX continues launching new trading pits in foreign countries, developing partnership with the world's leading commodity exchanges and IT companies, and expanding business relationships with international organizations, operating in the sector of exchange trading.
Meanwhile, achieving these strategic objectives will serve to increase confidence and interest of the global business community and foreign investors in Uzbekistan, as a country with a developed free market economy.
