and EUC challenges in South Africa. The crowd then split
to enjoy sessions ranging from NSX to Cloud Operations
while Matt Piercy, Wayne Biehn, Ian Jansen van Rensburg, Mark Reynolds and Richard Kerr attended the press
conference and interviews.

IT needs to transform or run the risk of becoming
irrelevant.
At VMware we believe the world of IT is changing.
* We see four forces: social networking, mobile, cloud
and big data shaping the future of IT
* We believe this will be addressed by three major
aspects: SDDC, Hybrid cloud and the Virtual Workspace
(EUC)
* The result of which will be increased and pervasive
So what is the future of IT?
* The Software Defined Enterprise is capable of quickly
adapting to change through fast innovation.
* In a Software-Defined Enterprise, IT moves at the
speed of business through the use of software-defined architectures on all key infrastructures from the data centre
to the device.
* In a Software-Defined Enterprise, hardware is
standardised and virtualised, intelligence and operation
capabilities resides in the software layer, policy based
automation and self-service are the new way to run the
data centres.
Thriving in the Mobile-Cloud Era.
Available resources and IT budgets have continued to
decline as the industry has transitioned from the mainframe, to the client server, and now to the mobile-cloud
era.

needs to be provisioned and run
