Not long after the merger, FCS of Missouri’s leadership team debated the merits
of yet another name change as a means of expanding its footprint in the changing
agricultural credit market. Effective September 1, 2006, Farm Credit Services
of Missouri became FCS Financial, ACA, cementing its brand as a full-service,
broad-spectrum lender to agricultural interests. With the announcement, they
proclaimed, “Our name is changing, but our values aren’t.”
After a very successful 2006, they also began the patronage program under the
terms of a resolution adopted in December of 2005. FCS Financial’s earnings grew
again in 2007 and with net earnings of $37.6 million, they were able to distribute
$3.7 million to their member-owners in 2008.
During the summer of 2010, FCS
Financial began developing a new business
model they called segment-centric.
Given their broad customer base, their
strategic plan identified the distinctions
between various market segments in order
to better match customer needs with
