FCS Financial: One Hundred Years July 2016 | Page 94

Tera Dover, a loan officer in the Springfield office, is a perfect example of how FCS Financial employees are equipped to meet all segments of the market through any avenue of communication. She was working on a degree in agriculture communications at Missouri State University when she saw the economy changing and opted to graduate early starting at FCS Financial in 2008. Though she is part of the generation that grew up with technology, she grew up on a farm and understands the traditional farmer as well. “Last year I had a crazy opportunity. I did a loan and never talked to the people on the phone and never met them in person,” she said. “I didn’t like it, but that’s how the customer wanted it. They wanted an entirely electronic transaction.” On the other hand, she acknowledges many customers still want the hands-on-at-the-farm approach to conducting business. “They like that we have the amenities of a big business; we have the technology to work efficiently, but we have the feel of a small local business. When they walk in, we know their names, their kids, what’s going on at the farm.” (L to R): Ashley and Jered Brown of Brighton, Missouri, and Tera Dover and Greg Brown of FCS Financial in Springfield, Missouri. The Browns won the Missouri Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers (YF&R) Excellence in Agriculture Award. The Browns received a new John Deere 625i Gator, made possible by FCS Financial. 90 Selected References
