FCS Financial hosts free agriculture seminars to help producers learn more
about the industry and upcoming trends. This one was held in Columbia
during 2014.
The key to technology, according to Chief Information Officer
Rick Derks, is not to introduce the latest and greatest and convince
the customer to use it, but rather to follow the oldest of business
adages: find out what the customer needs and fill that need. As a
result of what they’ve learned from customers through agricultural
seminars and advisory meetings, FCS Financial is preparing to
implement a new system via a portal named My Access Plus, which
Rick refers to as FCS Financial’s virtual branch. “My Access Plus
will offer our customers a single gateway for the customer to do
many of the different services they do with FCS,” explained Rick. Far
beyond online banking and account management, My Access Plus
offers customers a secure document exchange process and direct
access to GrainBridge. As an interactive system, My Access Plus
will make it possible for customers to set alerts regarding updates in
loan information. In addition, any activity on a customer’s account
registers on the Customer Relationship Management or CRM
system, which FCS Financial employees use for customer support.
As new technologies come available, FCS Financial will be able to
add them to My Access Plus without causing technological upheaval
for the customer.
