The Shaping Rural Missouri grant program supports youth organizations like 4-H and FFA by presenting classroom programs and other activities. “We recently distributed $24,000 in Shaping Rural Missouri grants to forty-nine FFA and 4-H groups who will use the grants for community betterment projects,” said CEO David Janish. The students plan the project, manage the finances, and execute the plan. “These go on all over the state,” said Chad McCollough. “It helps the local community, and it instills a work ethic and a commitment to the community.” The Russellville FFA Chapter in Cole County received a Shaping Rural Missouri grant to help renovate and landscape Railroad Park.
