Get Under Someone Else’s Skin:
A Guide To Rubber

Rubber fetishism is a different
experience from so called “mainstream”
kinks. Where other kinks generally
rely on active and passive roles (Dom
or Sub, Top or Bottom) and protocol,
rubber leans more towards a sharing
of experience. Although it’s unique,
there are numerous overlaps into many
other kinks, and this isn’t to say it’s
the only kink that involves a sharing of
experience, it’s to a different degree.
What is it about rubber that makes
it such a unique experience, why is
bondage different with rubber, and
why should someone want to try it?
The best place to start is with the key
concept of the “Second Skin”.
SECOND SKIN
One of the attractions of rubber is
feeling like having a second skin,
especially with very tight full-body
rubber clothing. If a person is standing

skin, it can give the feeling of being
completely naked but with added
smoothness, muscle definition, and
accented bulge provided by the rubber.
This can be further enhanced by
allowing someone to rub lube on your
rubber, providing an arousing tactile
feeling while adding an attractive shine
not unlike rubbing baby oil on a body
builder. For those with less than perfect
bodies, this second skin can minimize
sagging and result in a more compact
body type than if you were actually
naked. To an outside observer, a group
of Rubbermen can appear as just a
group of people standing around in their
gear socializing, but in reality they are
sharing a sexual experience very much
like exhibitionism, but with their second
skin.
