Lawn Bags & Green Waste
As the weather starts to warm up, we are seeing more and more people out working on their yards. While we love to see this work being done, please keep the FCCSA community guidelines in mind.
Trash cans, recycle bins, or lawn bags / green waste containers should not be placed at the curb in front of you property earlier than 6:00 PM on the evening before your scheduled pickup.
Lawn service companies must either place the clipping bags in the rear yard of the property or remove the bags from the property at the time of service.

Early Summer Landscape Tips for Homeowners
As summer approaches, small landscape issues can turn into bigger problems quickly in Houston’ s heat. A few simple steps in June can help your lawn, beds and plants stay healthier through the hottest part of the season.
1. Check your irrigation before heat stress shows up Dry spots, uneven color and wilting often start because sprinkler coverage is inconsistent, not because everything needs more water. Run each zone and make sure heads are spraying correctly and reaching the full area they are meant to cover.
2. Raise your mowing height slightly Cutting grass too short puts extra stress on it in summer. A slightly taller lawn helps shade the soil, hold moisture longer and support stronger roots during hot weather.
3. Watch for signs of drainage trouble after storms If water sits too long in low spots or planting beds, it can lead to turf decline, root issues and erosion. Take note of areas that stay soggy after rain, especially near downspouts, swales or sloped sections of the yard.
4. Remove dead or damaged plant material early Cleaning out stressed or damaged growth helps plants look better and reduces the chance of further decline as temperatures rise. June is a good time to tidy up before summer stress peaks.
A little attention now can make a noticeable difference by mid-summer.
