Paper Shredding Event

LOCATION: FCCSA Parking Lot 4350 Austin Parkway, Sugar Land TIME: 9 am – Noon
FCCSA is hosting a FREE paper shredding event on Saturday, January 24th from 9 am – 12 pm or until the trucks are full. Items accepted are all paper, file folders, hanging files, notepads and envelopes. There is no need to remove staples, paperclips, fasteners or rubber bands. Unacceptable items include newspapers, magazines, catalogs, plastic bags, electronics and x-rays. Drops are limited to six( 6) boxes or garbage bags per FCCSA household. Boxes & plastic bags need to be taken back with you. This is a drive thru only event. You will need to drive thru, stop your car by the PROSHRED truck where we will ask you to stay in your car and open your trunk, we will empty your bags or boxes, and put your bags or boxes back in your trunk and then close your trunk so you can be on your way. The trucks will be at the FCCSA parking lot located at 4350 Austin Parkway, Sugar Land.
THERE WILL BE NO ELECTRONIC RECYCLING AT THIS EVENT
Neighborhood Representative Election Results
There are several neighborhoods still in need of one or more Neighborhood Representatives. Each separate First Colony Community Services Association( FCCSA) neighborhood may have up to three( 3) elected Neighborhood Representatives. Neighborhood Representatives are a vital communication link between FCCSA and their neighborhoods. Representatives help create a sense of community.
Typical duties of a Neighborhood Representative are:
• Plan and organize special neighborhood events( i. e. ice cream socials, National Night Out, informational meetings).
• Serve as a liaison between the association and their neighborhood.
• Oversee the use of neighborhood voluntary contributions.
• Spearhead special projects for their neighborhood. For a list of the 2026 Neighborhood Representatives visit www. firstcolony. org under Election.
