Welcome to the New Year from the Treasurer !!
We have lots going on at the start of this new year . The FCCSA accounting team will be busy completing a complete conversion toward being fully automated in the accounts payable process . That means the office will scan in all the payables and the invoices will be online for the approval process and then once those signing check approve them , the checks will be released . It ’ s amazing how many invoices FCCSA processes each month . On an annual basis , the collective invoices for property taxes on every piece and parcel of land that is owned by FCCSA is almost two reams of paper .
We have heard a few complaints regarding our reimbursement process being slower than desired . The last quarter of the year is a busy time for the office , and we apologize for the delay in payments . We are looking at options going forward , but would like to get feedback from the Neighborhood Reps .
Currently , office personnel receive emails and documents supporting reimbursements and then complete a reimbursement form online and send that through the approval process . These emails are not processed daily , so there could be some delay . Another option is for the NR to complete the form themselves and submit the form and receipts either via email , snail mail or drop off in person . These will still be required to be approved before processing ; however , as the form is already completed , that ’ s half of the process . I know it ’ s more work on the NR ’ s part , but you know it ’ s been completed and it ’ s ready for review .
