As a reminder when working on fences, FCCSA’ s Fencing Guidelines for street facing fencing. Any street facing fencing that is replaced will need to follow the current guidelines, which include a rot board, cap rail, and trim. Please submit a Property Improvement Application before beginning any work to ensure that your planned improvement follows the current guidelines. This will help ensure that the improvement is done according to current restrictions, and also prevent you from spending money more than once on an improvement.
Please be advised that fence pickets must be cedar. Pine pickets are NOT permitted.
Dear Frustrated,
Our region is blessed with an abundance of interesting wildlife. Each one of these creatures should be treated with consideration and wonder. This, of course, does not apply to mosquitoes. I suggest smacking them with your hand, occasionally thrashing about wildly when they hum in your ear. If that doesn’ t work, try Chanel’ s newest perfume, Belle Eau de Citronella No. 1.
The good news is that the cities of Sugar Land and Missouri City and Fort Bend County do have regular mosquito control treatments in place. In the meantime, make sure you aren’ t providing free mosquito housing on your property via open containers such as empty flower pots, clogged gutters, or discarded Stanley tumblers.
